Alloy already standing apart
Alloy is one of the latest additions to an increasingly crowded restaurant scene in Calgary. Located just east of Macleod Trail on 42 Avenue S.E., close to the 39th Avenue LRT station, it is housed in a nondescript one-story building. Once stepping indoors, the unsuspecting patron is greeted by a very relaxed atmosphere, away from the stress and turmoil of the work week and into tranquil, elegant surroundings. The beautifully-designed space has a predominantly white decor, highlighted by walnut. Large white leather booths, white lamp shades and white concrete blocks are complemented with walnut chairs, tables and wall panels. Near the entrance, a tinted-glass and stainless steel wine cellar sets the tone for the menu.
